We are now accepting surgical referrals for soft tissue, orthopaedic and neurology cases at MyVet Lucan, a service lead by surgical diplomate Ciarán Jones.
Our purpose-built surgical referral suite boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a strong surgical nursing team which allows us to offer a first-class referral service experience to our patients
The surgical referral service accepts cases from referring vets in all aspects of soft tissue, orthopaedic and neurology surgery including:
- Spinal surgery
- Fracture repair
- Arthroscopy
- Cruciate repair
- Patella luxation
- Total Hip Replacement
- BOAS surgery
- Porto systemic shunt surgery
- Thoracic and abdominal surgery
Meet our Surgical Diplomate
Ciarán Jones
MVB, MS, DECVS European Diplomate Small Animal Surgery, DACVS-SA American Diplomate Small Animal Surgery.
We are delighted to have diplomate surgeon Ciarán Jones leading our Surgical referral service. Ciarán qualified from UCD in 2014 and undertook a three-year masters and surgical residency at Washington State University.
Following this Ciarán become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgery (DACVS) in Small Animal Surgery and a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgery (DECVS) in Small Animal Surgery in 2019 and is recognised specialist surgeon of the Veterinary Council of Ireland and European Board of Veterinary Specialist.
Ciarán will lead the surgical team at MyVet, who accept soft tissue, orthopaedic and neurology referrals at our Lucan facility.
Our purpose-built referral suite includes CT, arthroscopy and a visiting MRI.
