LdoVet MVM DipECVS MRCVS, EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (ECVS)
Javier Rincon Alvarez graduated from Complutense University in Madrid in 2012. Following his qualification, he spent two years in Paris, where he worked in a bustling emergency clinic for a year and then pursued a rotating internship at one of Paris’s largest private referral centres. Driven by his commitment to excellence, Javier undertook a small animal surgical residency and obtained a Masters in Veterinary Medicine focused on gait analysis in dogs at the University of Glasgow.
In July 2021, Javier earned Diplomate status with the European College of Veterinary Surgery (DECVS) showcasing his expertise. He is passionate about small animal surgery, with particular interests in traumatology, complex fracture repair and minimally invasive soft tissue procedures. Javier is also enthusiastic about interventional radiology procedures, including intrahepatic shunt coil embolization, stenting procedures for the trachea and uretha, and tumour embolization, which he hopes to develop and promote these procedures at MyVet.
